driving directions — To access PCT via Suiattle River Trail #785, drive north from Darrington on State Highway 530 for 8 miles. Turn right (east) on Suiattle River Road 26 after crossing the Sauk river. Follow Road 26 for 22 miles to the large parking lot at the end of the road, just beyond Sulphur Creek Campground.

hiking directions (for backcountry) — On Pacific Crest Trail north bound: on Packfic Crest Trail #2000, from White Pass to Red Pass to upper Whitechuck valley to Fire Creek Pass down to Mica Lake. Or for south bound: From Vista Ridge on Glacier Peak, descends to Milk Creek Valley and on Miners Creek Trail / Cascade Crest Trail #2000 ascend to Mica Lake (and then Fire Creek Pass). Or from Suiattle River to Milk Creek.
