Lobster Stream connects the northwest corner of the lake to the West Branch Penobscot River 1.4 miles north of the lake. Wooded shores with some sandy beaches. At least 11 campsites along the lake. The Jackson Cove campsite is on the west "claw" of the 3-mile lake.

driving directions — No road access to campsite. All access is by canoes. Ranger Station is near Spaulding Point at north end of lake which is 43 miles from Beaver Cove, ME. Follow County Rd 1 to Poulin Road at the West Branch Penobscot River, Go east 3 miles and go right (south) on Loop road for 2 miles. Then right (south) toward the lake for 1.6 miles.
